You own the client relationship. We handle the technical execution.

Probatus works as the delivery team behind consultants, agencies and IT firms on data, automation and internal software projects — under your name if the engagement needs it.

The situation this solves.

You have identified a problem in a client’s business and you know roughly what needs building. What you do not have is a team that can build it without either hiring for it or handing the relationship to a vendor who will be talking to your client directly within a month.

We are set up to be the second half of that engagement and not the first. We do not market to your clients, we do not approach them afterwards, and we are comfortable being invisible.

Where we fit

Who we work behind.

  • Business and operations consultants who have diagnosed a process problem and been asked what it would take to fix
  • Fractional CTOs and technology advisors who own the technical decision and need execution they can vouch for
  • ERP implementation partners whose client needs something around the ERP that is not in the ERP
  • Software and digital agencies with client demand for data, document or workflow work they do not want to staff permanently
  • Accounting and audit practices with clients whose pricing, margin or reconciliation question needs transaction-level analysis
Scope

What we take on.

We do

  • Transaction and pricing analysis
  • Document extraction and validation pipelines
  • RFQ and quotation workflows
  • Integration between ERP, CRM, email and spreadsheets
  • Internal tools around a specific process
  • Reporting and reconciliation automation

We don't

  • Websites, marketing sites, e-commerce
  • Mobile apps
  • ERP implementation or migration
  • Staff augmentation by the month
  • Anything scoped as “and then we’ll see”
Commercial models

Four ways to work together.

  1. 01ReferralYou introduce us and step back. We contract directly with the client, keep you informed at whatever level you want, and pay a referral fee on collected revenue — agreed in writing before the introduction.
  2. 02SubcontractYou hold the client contract. We deliver to your specification, invoice you, and your client need never hear our name.
  3. 03White-labelAs above, but we join client calls as part of your team, using your email if that is how you work. Some partners want the technical person in the room; some do not.
  4. 04Joint deliveryYou run the client relationship and the business analysis, we run the technical scope, and both parties are visible to the client. Usually the right structure when the client is large enough to want to know who is building.
Process

How an engagement runs.

  1. 01A call about the client's problemThirty minutes, no client present. We tell you honestly whether this is something we can deliver well. If it is not, we say so — that is worth more to you than a yes.
  2. 02A written scope and a numberFixed scope, fixed price, a date. You decide how to present it to your client and at what margin.
  3. 03Build, at a cadence you setWeekly written update as standard. More if you want it, less if you do not.
  4. 04HandoverCode, documentation and credentials to you or your client, whichever the contract says. No lock-in and no dependency on us to keep it running.
Confidentiality

Your client is your client.

  • We sign a non-solicitation agreement before the first introduction, covering the engagement and a defined period after it
  • We do not market to your clients — not during, not after
  • We publish nothing about the work without written permission from you and, where relevant, your client
  • We sign your NDA rather than asking you to sign ours
Commercials

How this is priced.

Assessments are fixed-fee. Builds are fixed-scope and fixed-price, quoted after a written scope — we do not quote against a conversation.

For subcontract and white-label work you set the client price and your own margin; we quote you a delivery cost and that number does not change unless the scope does. Referral fees are a percentage of collected revenue, agreed in writing before any introduction and paid as the client pays.

We would rather turn down a project than bid low and discover the scope in month two. If we have misjudged something, that is our cost, not yours.

What we're honest about

Probatus is small and deliberately so. We take on a limited number of engagements at a time, and if we are full we will tell you rather than queue you.

We are the right choice for focused, well-defined systems built quickly. We are the wrong choice if you need five engineers from next Monday — and we would rather you know that now.

Have a client problem you'd rather not staff for?

Tell us what the client needs and what you have already scoped. We will tell you within a day whether we can deliver it and roughly what it would take.

No client details needed for a first conversation
